What are you living for?

Everything we do, all the little and big actions we take in our daily life deliver a subconscious message to the Universe.

The actions we take demonstrate what we are actually living for.

However, when asked the question: what are you living for, we may have a hard time answering. Firstly, this is not a common question we ask in our daily life (though we do answer it daily). Secondly, what you say you are living for versus what you are actually living for can be very different from each other.

What we want and the things we do can be a lot different from each other.

Let's say you want to date but haven't been able to meet someone. And yet, you have closed yourself off to opportunities that would allow you to date. You are spending most of your time at home, not putting yourself in social situations, don't want to meet people online, and are not open to any blind dates. You have spent most of your time doing other things instead, like working on building your career.

What you are saying you want and what you are actually working towards then become two different things. Of course, you can work towards one aspect of your life to get to the other aspect of your life, but at that moment what your mind is not set on the thing you are saying is of importance. Perhaps your mind finds something else to be of priority.

We can live our lives in contradictions, where we want one thing but do something entirely different. As humans, we are used to hiding how we really feel, what we really think, sometimes even from our conscious selves.

It can be difficult to be honest with ourselves, and yet, honesty is exactly what we need.

To move forward in life. To shed some old skin. To know ourselves better.
