While reading the Happiness Equation by Neil Pasricha, I learned about the simple thing called the Happy List.

It is literally like the name implies where you create a list of activities and things that make you feel good. Things that make you happy.
When you are feeling down, use the Happy List to engage yourself in pleasurable things.
Even when you are not feeling down, make sure to use much of your list on a regular basis.
Being happy means engaging in activities that make you happy.
Being happy also means surrounding yourself with happy things and people that add happiness to your life.
I personally find it better if most (if not all) of the happy list includes activities that can be done alone. Focusing on your solo experience brings more of your personal taste into the list.
It is helpful if you notice things that make your day better on a daily basis, and can regularly update your happy list.
Here are some of the items from my Happy List:
Feeling some sunshine on my face
Getting fresh air
A big glass of water in the morning
Dancing
Trying out something new
Karaoke/ Singing along
Breathing
Seeing beautiful plants
Walking in nature
Reading a good book
Reflective Question
What would you put on your Happy List?
