Paving a pathway to success

What does success look like to you?

For some, it can look like a lot of money, praise from others, respect, promotions, and being invited to well-known places. Like when you hit a set amount of money in your bank account, acquire a property, and can live lavishly.

Success for some looks like looking as flawless as possible. Looking good while also having ways to showcase success such as by obtaining degrees and going to places.

For others, it can look like securing a husband, having children, etc.

A lot of times, the worldly view of success looks like the combination of all of the above.

When we look at worldly comparisons, we can view ourselves as lacking in some areas, even if we are successful in some of the areas.

In the world we live in, even if you ticked all the outer boxes of success, there would still be more to come. More things to tick. More success to obtain.

The policy of this world is to want more and more. When you obtain one thing, just go for the next. When you get to the next level, just keep on going higher.

Perhaps we do come to this world to achieve something, and the question is where do you want to devote your energy and drive of achievement?

I feel good when I devote my time, energy, drive to my own growth, and happiness. Sometimes that looks like doing a course, other times just writing or traveling. When I look at the worldly idea of success, I certainly wouldn't be ticking off all the boxes, but I don't have to follow worldly standards, and neither do you.

We can create our own standard of success.

Rather than following the worldly rules of success, creating our own idea of success is a pathway to joy.

May you create your own idea of success and may you find it.
